Acupuncture

Acupuncture is an ancient healing practice that moves and balances qi.
The harmonious functioning of body and mind is sustained by the free and gentle circulation of qi, which happens of its own accord. When this process is in some way impeded, health imbalances can arise.
Acupuncture uses very fine needles at specific points around the body to stimulate qi. This sends signals that allow the body to activate its self-healing capacity.
Chinese Herbal Medicine

Using natural ingredients to address all sorts of conditions, Chinese Herbal Medicine is a powerful treatment method.
With hundreds of herbs and herbal formulas for the
practitioner to choose from, prescriptions are intricately tailored to the individual based on their unique combination of signs and symptoms, as well as environmental and constitutional factors.
We dispense herbs in powder form, which are dissolvable in water and easy to take. Herbal medicine works well in combination with acupuncture and also as a standalone treatment.
Moxa

Moxibustion, usually just called ‘moxa’, is a heat therapy often used together with
acupuncture. It primarily promotes blood circulation.
Softly smouldering mugwort leaf is applied on or near acupuncture points in the form of rice grain-sized cones or rolled sticks, providing warming and soothing sensations.
Gua Sha

‘Gua’: to rub
‘Sha’: sand
The name gua sha describes the process of gently ‘rubbing out sand’ with a smooth-edged instrument. Sha or sand refers to the distinct type of discolouration and bumpy dotting that emerges at the skin upon treatment, and clears within days.
When sha is brought to the skin, heat toxins that accumulate due to stagnant qi and blood are released. Gua Sha can thereby relieve pain and tension in the muscles.
